David started VEGA in 2009 in order to explore ways to realize great design – starting with improving the building delivery process. VEGA landed its first major client soon after which provided for continued growth throughout the recession. David is consistently involved in the design of all the firm’s work. He works hard to ensure that the overall vision and goals for the projects are met, and that VEGA continually pushes innovation in design and project delivery.
David’s passion for building science, retail science and design has been instrumental in the development of several long term clients.

As an experienced architect, Adam maintains a strong presence in all aspects of project development —from leading the design concept and overseeing construction to managing the documentation process.
Adam brings over 20 years of design expertise in implementing creative architectural solutions while maintaining a balance between design, budget and schedule. With a focus on exceeding client expectations, Adam provides his creative insight and leadership to problem solving, and understands the importance of a highly collaborative team throughout the design process.

Symm Vafeades
Symm is a project manager who brings equal measures of management and production capability to every assignment — he manages projects from the inside out. Working within the work rather than above it, he ensures design intent is carried through documentation and construction, and that technical challenges are resolved in a manner appropriate to each project's goals and budget.
That dual fluency is what keeps a team collaborative: Symm speaks both languages, so decisions get made with a full picture of their design and production consequences — and nothing is lost between the two.

One of the country’s leading BIM experts, Laura has been at the forefront of the construction industry’s transition to multi-dimensional modeling and parametric design. She is a master at developing innovative solutions to streamline processes, resulting in successful projects.
Laura joined vega in 2011 and has over 30 years of professional experience. She combines solid design and planning skills with the management of project teams on a variety of projects throughout the country.
Laura’s extensive experience ranges from large-scale planning to custom single-family residences and includes educational facilities, multi-family housing and commercial office structures.

Pauline Gerd
Pauline's diverse background — psychology, sculpture, and architecture — shapes our work at every level. Equal parts creativity and curiosity, she is constantly challenging assumptions and constantly learning, bringing to each project a way of seeing that no single discipline could produce.
The result is a unique perspective that moves our work in directions that wouldn't be possible without her: an understanding of how people actually experience space, a sculptor's command of form and material, and an architect's discipline for making both real.
