rock island | denver, CO
The Rock Island building, a historic masonry structure built in 1881, was in major need of repair and renovation. We were tasked with restoring and preserving the exterior under the National Park Service’s Historic Preservation Tax Credit program and thoroughly renovating the interior for a new tenant. A new lobby, elevator, two stairways, and a rest room core were included in the renovation. It was a total gut and renovation, so we had to restore what we could of the façade while creating a new and modern entry with custom wood and steel doors.
